Calvin J. Zhang

Hi, I’m Calvin Zhang! I’m a software engineer and researcher studying computer science and math at Cornell University. I’m interested in the intersection of machine learning and computer systems, and I’m fortunate to be advised by Prof. Giulia Guidi and Prof. Johannes Paetzold in these areas.

My current work spans distributed and parallel programming for HPC and deep learning, as well as applications of reinforcement learning, AI agents, and deep learning in medical research. I also enjoy exploring the mathematical foundations underlying these fields, particularly optimization, probability, and linear algebra.
